SDG&E submitted Advice Letter (“AL”) 3943-E to correct a PCIA calculation error caused by the franchise fee removal. The AL corrects certain PCIA rates by $(0.00001) from what was presented in Attachment D of AL 3903-E. The updates are effective February 1, 2022. Protests or Responses to the AL are due February 17.
SDG&E previously submitted, and the Commission approved, AL 3903-E which removed the franchise fee rate component from the PCIA, effective February 1, 2022. In the current AL, SDG&E indicates that it discovered an error resulting in PCIA rates that differed slightly from the revised rates included in AL 3903-E. Specifically, SDG&E states: “due to rounding at the 5th decimal, once we combine the updated uncollectible rate with the removal of the franchise fees, a few PCIA rates changed by $(0.00001) from what was presented in Attachment D of AL 3903-E.”
The table below shows the impacted PCIA vintages. Attachment A to AL 3943-E reflects the 2022 PCIA rates effective February 1, 2022.
