SDG&E Revised Track 3B.2 Proposal
Track 3B.2 scope includes examination of changes to the broader RA structure.
- PG&E’s “Slice-of-Day” proposal easier to implement than the CalCCA/SCE proposal, which adds a new capacity product, Net Qualifying Energy (NQE).
- SDG&E proposes each 24-hours be split into six four-hour slices, with a capacity requirement for each slice reflecting need during that period, then aggregate the slices to determine the overall RA need for the 24-hour period.
- Under SDG&E’s proposal, RA portfolio would be based on IRP planning.
